                                       Space Camp 2014

After weeks of preparation, it was finally time for Sarah G., Roger, Sarah M., and myself to begin our journey to Space Camp.

The students printed their boarding passes.

      Luggage was checked.

We bid farewell to our families.

As we passed through security, we knew we were truly on our way!

Space camp alumni had already spread the word that L.T. enjoys a relaxing massage before embarking on a long day of traveling.

Our departure from Avoca was slightly delayed.   We still arrived in Charlotte, N.C. with enough time to eat dinner and enjoy a stroll on the moving walkway.

We finally touched down in Huntsville at 6:30 Central Time, 7:30 Eastern Time.  Roger and Sarah M.  declared that flying can be very tiring.

We checked into the hotel adjacent to the Space Center.  This is the view of Space Camp from my 5th floor window.

The heated indoor/outdoor pool quickly rejuvenated the weary travelers.
